Morrisey, Ernest —Peacefully in Ontario on Thursday, March 11, 2010 in his 95th year. Loving and caring husband of Mary for 54 years, Ernie was born in Gilbert’s Cove, Nova Scotia. Survived by children Brenda (James Spence), Michael (Lori), Anne (Dale Gerster), Linda (Peter Pistor) and John (Lisa). Remembered by grandchildren Graham, Cameron, Heather, Colin and Kelly Spence; Jennifer, Sara and Andrew Morrisey; Robert Morrisey and Riley Gerster; Peter, Mark, Brian and Nicole Pistor; Jacob and Emma Morrisey. Predeceased by brothers Lawrence, Robert and Edward. Ernie taught elementary school in Digby County, served in the RCAF in England during the Second World War, and taught in London at Clarke Road Secondary School. Funeral Mass was celebrated at Holy Family Parish, London, on Monday, March 15, 2010. Interment St. Peter’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
