Passed peacefully away after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at the Palliative Care Unit of the L.A. Miller Centre, aged 74 years, formerly of Buchans. Predeceased by his father John and mother Lucy, sister Marie. Leaving to mourn loving wife of 45 years, Myra (nee Clarke); son John (Irena), Kingston, ON; daughter Jane McIntyre (Dave), Ottawa, ON; four grandchildren: Elliot, Molly, Griffin and Cameron; brother Lloyd (Cicely); nephews: Christopher (Heidi) and Bradley (Heather), as well as a large number of friends. Cremation has taken place at Jim’s request. A service to remember Jim’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel, 329 Freshwater Road. Interment to follow in Buchans on Sunday, March 21, 2010. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
