October 27th, 1917 – March 15th, 2010 – Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, cradled forever in the embrace of her loving family, Margaret Mary (Donovan) Roche, in her 93rd year. Margaret’s life will be forever celebrated as a devoted wife, loving mother, caring sister and aunt, true friend and a devout Catholic. She will live forever in the lives of her family; Jim and Sandra Roche; Geraldine and Terry Williston; Shirley and Robert McKee; Bernadette Brown; Elizabeth Roche; Mary and Brendan O’Brien, Patricia Roche and Pat Woodcock; John and Joanne Roche; Gerard and Karen Roche; Jacqueline Roche and Michel Eklesiaste; and their families. She was the proud matriarch of a large family and the loving grandmother of 24 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She will be forever missed by her sister Loretta Holwell and her many nieces and nephews, in particular her earthly angels and spiritual partners Eleanor Fitzgerald, Margaret Cummings and Alice Lacey. Margaret is now gone to her eternal rest and as was her belief, she is united with her loving husband John Joseph Roche, her infant daughter Mary Catherine and her granddaughter Elizabeth Brown and her three great grandchildren Rodney, Stephen and Jamie Cox. All are invited to a celebration of Margaret’s life at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Hours of visitation are Thursday 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. – 12 noon, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. The sacrament of Holy Mass will be celebrated at the Basilica of St. John the Baptist on Saturday, March 20th, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. with interment to follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Outer Cove.
