(April 3, 1939 April 16, 2009) - Passed away suddenly in the presence of his loving family, Garrett Burke of Tors Cove, age 70. A great man with a fun loving gentle spirit. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Catherine Burke; his sisters Martha and Mary; and his brothers, Michael and John. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 43 years, Rita (nee O'Driscoll); his daughter, Rhonda (Eric) Joraszik; grandsons Alex and Luke; his son Gary and grandson Garrett; and granddaughter Samantha. His brother Kevin (Fern) Burke; his sisters Kay (Angelo) Genovese; Irene (Diarmuid) Scully; Helen O’Keefe; Patsy Monzon. Also leaving to a large circle of family and friends. No formal visitation at the request of the deceased. Funeral mass to take place on Saturday, April 18 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.
