Leslie Day

"The family of Leslie Day sadly advise friends of his passing in White Rock, BC on April 19, 2009. Before moving to British Columbia in 2004, Leslie and Jennie enjoyed 25 years of retired life with their many friends in Pugwash and Amherst. Les is survived by Jennie, his loving wife of 65 years, son David of Calgary and daughter Jennifer of Vancouver. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. During his time in Nova Scotia, Leslie was active in community service, serving many years on the executive of the Cumberland Seniors' Association and a term as President of the Nova Scotia Senior's Association. Les was a great adventurer who served proudly in the RAF during WWII. Les and Jennie emigrated to Canada in 1957, and have enjoyed travel to all provinces. He will be missed by his family and many friends."

"Dear Jennie, On behalf of the WARC in Amherst, I offer our condolences on the passing of Les. Enjoyed talking to you and Les at the Liquor store where I work and of course talking to him at your old location about radios. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time. "
