Passed peacefully away after a short courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, April 12, 2009 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, David C. Vardy at the age of 60. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Julie Ann (nee Brake), daughter Lori (Scott) Roche, son Stephen (Toni) Vardy, four precious grandchildren Danielle, Ryan, Matthew and Cohen, brothers Lloyd (Sandra) Drodge, Randy (Barbara) Vardy, sisters; Jeanette (Maxwell) Martin, Kelly (Maurice) Snook, Jackie (David) Knee, Tracy (Fathi)Vardy, brother in laws William (Patricia) Brake, Brian (Carol-Ann) Brake, sister in laws Gladys (Gary) Hann, Joan Gintautas, special friends Gary and Donna Peddle and a large circle or relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his parents William and Nellie Vardy, his brother Hayward, in laws William and Rachel Brake, brother and sister in laws Marion and Ken Roul. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home 167 Country Road on Monday April 13, 2009 from 7-9 p.m., Tuesday April 14, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday April 15, 2009 at 2 p.m. from First United Church Park Street with Rev Dr. Wayne Cole officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. Flowers or donations to a memorial fund for families needing assistance with health care.
