HIBBS, Robert W. - Passed away suddenly on June 9, 2010 while visiting family in Cambridge, Ontario. Born March 7, 1937 on Bell Island and residing there all his life. Predeceased by his parents, Robert and Bessie Hibbs; sisters: Millie Davis and Mary Noftall. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 51 years Loretta (Barrett); children: Robert (Kay), Jeanette Slade (Alvin), Elizabeth Kavanagh (Carl), Billy (Sherrie), Wally (Shirley), Lorraine Murphy (Sean), and Donny (Melinda); grandchildren: Jennifer Gorman (Shawn), Carl Kavanagh Jr. (Coreen), Emily, Kassandra, Shannon, Stephanie, Christopher, Chad, Sean Jr., Tyler, and Cameron; great-grandchildren: Lexie and Brooklyn. Also leaving to mourn sisters: Bertha Vokey (Calvin), Genevieve Lynch; and a large circle of family and friends. Bob was a well known Electrician. He loved his family and friends dearly as well as music and playing his accordion. Resting at Pendergast's Funeral Home on Bell Island Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral services to take place on Monday, June 14, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. St. Michael's Parish. Interment to follow at St. Cyprian's Anglican Cemetery. Donations in Bob's memory may be made to the Dr. Walter Templeton Hospital on Bell Island or the Janeway Ronald McDonald House fund.
