JOHNSTON, Morley- Passed peacefully away on May 31st at North Bay General Hospital, Morley Johnston of Magnetawan, Ontario (formerly of St. John's), in his 65th year, two and a half years after receiving the gift of life of a double lung transplant. Predeceased by father (Vernon), mother (Elizabeth [Betty]), and stepfather, Victor Bailey. Left with loving memories are his wife of 38 years, Carol, son Ross (Alisia), daughter Shona (Marty), and three adored grandchildren - Jacob, Ryan, and Paityn. Survived by brothers: K. Brian Johnston (Mary), Bruce Christie, Pierce Bailey (Bobbie), and sister Susan Bailey (Renee). Also left with fond memories are his nephews and niece and a wide circle of other relatives and many friends. A service to celebrate Morley's life was conducted in Burk's Falls on Saturday, June 5, 2010. Donations in Morley's memory may be made to the Toronto General Lung Transplant Unit and Trillium Gift of Life Network.
