July 1, 1944 - June 21, 2010. Passed peacefully away at Chancellor Park on Monday, June 21st, 2010 with Betty and Cathy by his side, W. Gary Rowe, aged 65 years. Gary was predeceased by his loving parents William S. and Dora T. He leaves to mourn his loving spouse and best friend, Betty Simms; his special sister-in-law Cathy Healy (Brian) and special friends: David and Carole Russell and family. Gary also leaves to mourn many nieces and nephews especially, Jill Kelly (David), Brian and Chris Healy, John and Alison Duff, Nancy O'Keefe (Stephen) and Max and Kate Kelly (who always brought a smile to his face). Mourning also are his cousins: Dora Legge (Alberta), Beverly Locke (Bill) and Donna Fowlie (USA); long time friends: James Chalker Q.C., Daphne and Lloyd Rees and John Duff. His canine friends, Gus and Scottie, will miss his companionship. Special thanks to Jill Pike, Ed Whittle, Chris Keats, the staff of 4 South A. Health Science Centre and Chancellor Park for their care and support. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Wednesday, June 23rd from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday, June 24th, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, June 24th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from Cochrane St. United Church with cremation to follow and burial at a later date.
