It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wallace W. Locke announce his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Monday, June 28, 2010, at the age of 82 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories: his wife, Winnie; his children: Calvin (Barb) of Cornwall, NS, Derek (Dorothy) of Meadows, NL, George (Ruth) of Sackville, NS, Beulah (Ron) Murphy of Mt. Pearl, NL, Marg (Danny) Walton of Halifax, NS, Della (Leonard) Jacobs of Kingston, NS and Olga (Ken) Greene of Halifax, NS; his 14 grandchildren: Donna, Johnny, George, Melissa McCarthy, Donnie and Calvin Locke, Jane, Kim, Crystal Walton, Ian Locke, Danika Locke, Darren and Clayton Jacobs and Grace Greene; nine great- grandchildren: Anthony, Elizabeth, Sage, Ethan, Ainsley, Graham, Sydney, Claire and Leland; his stepchildren: Sharon Schlup (Dave Innes), Robert (Deborah) LeDrew, Tony LeDrew, Jean (Tony) Janes, Brian (Lorna) LeDrew, Bruce (Pat) LeDrew, Captain Betty (Brian) Thomas; 13 step-grandchildren: Robert and Heather Reid, Scott and Richard LeDrew, Lisa Michielsen, Merrill and Ashley LeDrew, Tyler Marks, Christopher LeDrew, Janice and Jennifer Villagomez, Scott and Stephen Thomas; 14 stepgreat-grandchildren; Ayden Reid, Tyler Reid, Jessica Reid, Christian Reid, Mackenzie and Brooke Michielsen, Destiny and Faith LeDrew, Ashlyn LeDrew, Olivia LeDrew, Conrad, Sarah and Nathan LeDrew and James Thomas; his sisters: Myrtle Cluett of Corner Brook, Rowella (Granville) Layden of Corner Brook, Verna Roberts of Ontario; brothers: Dorman (Ella) Locke of Ontario, Donald (Shirley) Locke of Corner Brook and John (Rita) Locke of Ontario. He is predeceased by his wife, Jane (Chaulk) in 1976; daughter, Donna Lee in 1959; parents, William John and Minnie Locke; brothers: Ellis, Otto, Maxwell, Clayton and Eric. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road, on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, June 30, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service took place at Salvation Army Temple, O'Connell Drive, on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with Majors Calvin & Loretta Fudge officiating. Interment followed at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request. Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army Temple Fund.
