We the family of the late Alex MacInnis, wish to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to our many relatives, friends and neighbors for the kindness shown to us during the sudden passing of our father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, WWII VET and friend. To our family who came to visit at the hospital, thank you. To all who brought food to our homes, we thank you. to the many who phoned, visited our homes, sent cards, flowers, offered masses, monetary gifts, special prayers and sent donations to the Sacred heart Building Fund or Loaves and Fishes, your thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated. Thank you to Fr.Anthony O'Connor for his kind words, the Eucharistic Ministers and the Choir. A special thank you to the readers, his grand-daughters, Allyson Neilson and Michelle Mugford. Dad would have been proud. Thank you to the KOC Honor Guard, to the Branch 12 Legion for the church service. Thank you to the pallbearers, his son Way, grandsons, Jason MacInnis, Greg MacInnis, Michael MacInnis, Ryan O'Shea, and to Dan Paul who was dressed in his native attire to honor our father as he had a special bond with the people of our native communities. to the honorary pallbearers, his brother Hector MacInnis, his nephew, Gerry MacNeil, his bests buddy, Benny Singler, his next door neighbor and friend, Gerry Hill, His neighbor, friend and cook Alex Walker and John "Mac" MacDonnell. a special thanks to the ladies who on such short notice served a beautiful lunch at the hall. To Dr. Paul Murphy and staff, thank you for all the kindness and compassion you have shown to Dad over the years. To Dr. Bruce McClelland, thank you. To Dr. John Sullivan and staff of the Halifax Infirmary on floor 7.1 and the ICU 5.1 we thank you. To the chaplin of the Halifax Infirmary, Father Owen Connolly, thank you for the time you took to sit with us and offer words of comfort. To those who traveled to be with us we thank you. To Trevor Tracey and staff of T.W. Curry's Funeral Home, thanks fo ryour professionalism expertise and compassion during this difficult time. To anyone we may have overlooked, thank you.
