It is with great sadness that the family of Adam Wilfred Piercey announce his passing on May 27, 2009 as a result of a work-related accident in Fort McMurray, Alberta at the young age of 26 years. Adam has blessed his parents, Edward and Gail, his brother, Kelsey, and his Nanny’s, Myrtle Bailey and Kathleen Piercey, with a multitude of special memories that will live in their hearts forever. In addition to numerous cousins, Adam has also shared his zest for life and his sense of humour with his aunts and uncles: Gary (Irene) Bailey, Paul (Sheila) Bailey, Glenn (Judy) Bailey, Shawn (Judy) Bailey, Scott (Sherry) Bailey, Dean (Paulette) Bailey, Derek Bailey (Tracey Smith), Carolynn (Darren) LeRoy, Gary (Margaret) Piercey, Elizabeth (Woodrow) Wight, Wade (Mary) Piercey and Donna Piercey. Adam will also be missed by his girlfriend, Kassie and a large circle of relatives and friends. Adam was predeceased by his Pop Edward Piercey, Pop Wilfred Bailey, and his uncles, Ricky and Gordon. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, June 3rd at 2:00 p.m. from the Zion Pentecostal Church, Carolina Avenue, Stephenville, with interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville.
