MacPhee
The death of Frank MacPhee of Dartmouth, N.S. occurred on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at the Oakwood Terrace Nursing Home. Frank was born on May 9, 1933 in Sydney Mines, Cape Breton, son of the late Jerry and Kate (MacMullin) MacPhee. He served in the Canadian Military (Airforce) as an airframe and air engine technician for 10 years. After his discharge, he was employed by the Department of Defense as an naval mechanical technician and retired in 1993. He enjoyed sailing and was an avid reader.
Frank married Anne P. Delaney of Miminegash on Nov. 26, 1952. Besides his wife Anne, Frank leaves behind three sons, AJ (Mary) of Hampton, N.B., Bill (Pam) of Amherst, N.S., Rod (Brenda) of Dartmouth, N.S; grandchildren Chris, Craig, Philip, Felice, Brent and Katelyn; great-grandchildren Marissa, Chloe, Mitchelle, Dom and Jacob. Sisters, Theresa (and the late Dan) MacDonald, Mary C Maxwell (Archie), Jeannie LeBlanc, Vivian Bailey, Christina (Barsley) Bonner all of Sydney, Cape Breton, Auly MacPhee of Dartmouth, N.S. Brother Larry (Linda) of Sydney, Cape Breton. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Roddy and Billy.
He is resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, Palmer Road with visitation on Monday 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The funeral will be held on Tuesday at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers donation to the Colitis Society would be greatly appreciated.
