Eliza Guy
A family funeral service for Eliza W. Guy, who was presently residing in Charlottetown with her daughter and formerly from Sydney Mines, was held Tuesday, July 20, 2010 from the JM Jobes Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. Rev. Marion Braclay Mac-Kay conducted the funeral service, she shared kind words of comfort and several meaningful scripture passages with the family. Rev. Dr. Gordon Matheson, son-in-law, spoke of the love and commitment Eliza had for her family and presented a Message with deep abiding words of assurance for her loved ones.
Special music, was beautifully rendered by Jean Robinson, accompanied by Cathy Audoux, organist and family friend. Pallbearers were, Bruce Nunn, Sidney Hutchinson, nephew, and her grandchildren, Jim Guy, Bonnie Nunn, Leza Matheson-Wolters and Dr. Grant Matheson.
Interment took place in Brookside Cemetery, Sydney Mines, where Eliza was laid to rest by her dear husband "Jimmie." The family would like to express kind words of appreciation to ALL who were so very caring and supportive, during the time of their great loss.
