Pamela Nason

Pamela Nason

(1944 - 2010) - Born in Nottingham, England, Pam loved gardening, writing, traveling and spending time with family and friends. She was an exemplary teacher, as shown by the testament of so many of her former students who have written to her this past summer. In her role as teacher/researcher and Professor of Early Childhood Education at UNB, Pam published extensively, most recently co-authoring the New Brunswick Curriculum Framework for Early Learning and Child Care. A career highlight for Pam came with the recent receipt of a special presidential citation from the President of UNB in recognition and appreciation for her years of service to the University, the community and the Province; and her dedication to improving literacy and early childhood education. Pam's soul mate and husband, Randy and her daughter, Dr. Amy Nason will forever remember her on their Range Farm in Cumberland Bay. Pam's sister, Susan, her mother, Marjorie and her nieces still live in her beloved England. She also has one nephew in British Columbia and another in New Zealand. Through her work, family, travel, and friends Pam practiced her philosophy of "living every day of my life".
A service celebrating Pammie's life will be held at the Young's Cove United Church on Friday, September 24, 2010 at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. www.mcadamsfh.com
