CAHILL, Frank - (September 23, 1952 - September 18, 2010). It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a dear husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, friend and co worker. Despite his courage and determination, Frank succumbed to the numerous complications following his heart transplant of February 10, 2010 at London University Hospital, ON. Predeceased by his father Andy Cahill, mother-in-law Marcella Merrigan and brother-in-law Douglas Butler. Leaving to mourn their sad loss his devoted and loving wife Sarah (Merrigan), his children Michael, Erin and Heather; his mother Mary Cahill; sisters and brother: Anne Butler, Toronto; Judy Brown (Barry), Kamloops; Jim (Yvonne Hepditch) and Mary (Glenn Trask), St. John's; his father-in-law Patrick Merrigan, Carbonear; brothers- and sisters-in-law: Mary, Ottawa; Terry (Cathy), Toronto; Ellen (Eugene Hurley ) and Pat (Joanne), Carbonear; Clarence (Sydney) and Laurie (Marilyn), Edmonton; special god children: Stacey Brown and Susan Cahill; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; special friend Ed Murray (Linda), St. John's. The family would greatly appreciate blood donations to Canadian Blood Services and consideration of the organ tissue donation program. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held in St. John's in late October at a place and date to be announced.
