It is with great sadness that the MacPherson family announces the sudden death of Dennis Bernard MacPherson, 20 of Fort McMurray, Alta. He passed away at the Northern Lights Regional Hospital on Friday, June 12, 2009, surrounded by his loving family.
A loving son and brother, Dennis meant the world to his parents and siblings. He was the son of William ‘Trapper’ MacPherson and Tanya ‘Tammy’ Gale- MacPherson of Nova Scotia.
Growing up in Fort McMurray, he attended Dickensfield Elementary School and graduated with honours from Westwood Community High School in 2007. Dennis was a member of the Registered Apprenticeship program throughout high school and was proud to say that he was one of the youngest welders to obtain his Boilermaker Red Seal Certificate at the age of 19. He worked for Suncor Oil Ltd.
Dennis enjoyed playing guitar, hockey and was a true Habs fan. His friendship, caring and great sense of humour will be remembered by his family and many friends. Dennis will be sadly missed but forever remembered by his parents, Tammy and Trapper; sister, Krystal; brother, Jesse; his grandfathers, William MacPherson, Dennis Gale and by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of his life at the St. Paul Catholic Church, 484 Signal Rd. on Friday June 19, 2009 at 1 p.m.
The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at the Northern Lights Regional Hospital.
