SMITH, Constance Lynn "Connie" - 43, of Scotch Village, Hants Co., passed away peacefully after a short but courageous battle with cancer, on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Windsor, she was a daughter of George and Joan (Connors) Church, Falmouth. Connie had a great zest for life that was evident in her day to day activities. Those who knew her, know that well. Besides her parents, Connie is survived by her loving husband, who has been beside her all the way, Brian Smith, Scotch Village; daughter, Ashley and son, Nick, both at home; four legged companion, Chelsea; sisters, Joanna (Trevor) Moore, Salisbury, NB; Tina (Richard) Wilson, Pugwash; several special nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; father-in-law, Ralph Smith, Scotch Village; mother-in-law, Marilyn Smith (Gordon Dearman), Newport; brothers-in-law, Larry (Sheri) Smith and family, Alberta; Rick Smith (Trish) and family, Bedford. Connie is also survived by her very special friends, Sherrie and Kevin Hood and family; Joanne and Wayne McCoul and family. Arrangements were entrusted to Lohnes - DeMont Funeral Service Ltd., 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317), where the family received friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, September 30. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 1, in Newport Baptist Church, Scotch Village, Rev. William Brackney officiated. Interment was held in Hillview Cemetery, Scotch Village, with a reception following in the church basement. Family flowers only, were by request.
