Tracy’s oldest resident, born at Little Lake, N.B May 21, 1913, has gone on to meet the other part of his family that have crossed over before him. His dear mother Mabel Amelia Phillips was the first great loss he had, when he was 11, and his father Harry Roy (Coy) Woodworth in 1950.
Also predeceased by his beautiful wife Marjorie Elizabeth (Waugh) Woodworth and their children infants Muriel Jean and Roland, Nora Naomi Nason, George Foster Woodworth Jr, grandchildren David, Kimberley and Kelly Nason, Brian Carr, Rodney DeVarenne and Darlene Bullock, great-grandson Benjamin Woodworth, sons in law Gerald DeVarenne, Athur London and Howard Carr, sister Lillian Woodworth (Turnbull) Heard. He was also predeceased by wives Delaney (Nason) Woodworth and Leora (McCoy) Woodworth. Survived by children Joan Carr of Hoyt, N.B, Joyce Bullock of Fredericton, N.B, Muriel DeVarenne of Quispamsis, N.B, Mabel Jacqueline London of Saint John, N.B, Ronald Woodworth (Esther) of Tracy, N.B, Carole Smith (Jack) of Missouri USA, Nila Sheppard (Gordon) Tracyville, N.B, and Paul (Melissa) Woodworth, Tracyville, N.B, sons in law Gordon Bullock (Connie) and Byron Nason (Leona), daughter in law Rhonda Tardif (Don) Nackawic, N.B, Theresa Woodworth (Joe) Alberta, thirty four grandchildren, thirty nine great grandchildren and seventeen great-great grandchildren. Foster enjoyed a long healthy life. The last few years he had Alzheimer’s disease but was able to live at home with his daughter Nila and her husband Gordon. In May of 2009 he came from where ever the disease was taking him to celebrate his birthday with family. It was like he came back to say his farewells, of a sort. Shortly afterwards he moved to White Rapids Nursing Home in Fredericton Junction where he lived until his passing. Foster was a welder and mechanic by trade and was a shop foreman for M.E. Phillips and Son in Tracy, Forbes & Sloat in Fredericton and several other construction companies throughout N.B. Foster loved going to Church, having company and telling stories about his younger years and the genealogy of his relatives.
Resting at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road where visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 9th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, November 10th at 1 Pm from Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Frank Cronkhite officiating. Interment will follow in the Tracy Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be grandsons, Kelsey Nason, Foster Bullock, Randy DeVarenne, Matthew Sheppard, Nick Woodworth and Dale London. Honorary Pallbearers will be Wayne London, Kevin Nason, George Woodworth, Albert DeVarenne, Harold London and Kenny Bullock.
