It is with deepest sorrow and regret, we announce the sudden passing of Neil Gracie, on Saturday, June 27, 2009, at home.
Neil was born in North Sydney, he was the son of Debora Ann Greenfield and Neil Alexander Gracie and though his journey was brief, his memory will live forever.
Neil is survived by his mother, Debbie (Carrie); father, Neil (Donna); sister, Erika (Robert); son, Leeland; grandparents, Mary Lou and Garry Greenfield and Hilary Gracie; he is also survived by siblings, Shania, Andrew, Michelle and Kyle.
He was predeceased by his grandmother, Catherine Gracie.
Neil was a very talented musician, whose music blossomed rapidly due to his keen ability to imitate musical notes immediately after hearing a song.
In co-operation with Francis Funeral Home, visitation will be held Tuesday June 30, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Francis Funeral Home, Sydney Mines.
Funeral service will take place 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2009, in St. Joseph Church, Bras d’Or, with Fr. Peter McLeod officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Sydney.
