In the span of her life, Dorine was a daughter (particularly devoted to her father, Pierre Landry), a student (partly raised in Maine), a happy wife to the well known commercial artist Blair Mazerolle, a loving and guiding mother to 5 children, a hat maker, a community activist, a long-time choralist with La chorale l'Assomption, a theatrical make-up artist (Stage Door '56), an accomplished potter, a librarian at l'Université de Moncton, and a tour guide at Le Musée Acadien, where hundreds of tourist got her unofficial version the history of Acadiens. Dorine was employed for over 40 years at the Université de Moncton, where she was beloved by students at the Bibliothèque Champlain, at la Bibliothèque du Commerce and at la Bibliothèque de la faculté du Droit.. The late night study shift of the first generation of Acadian lawyers were nourished on her famous brownies, and many considered her a second mother. Although bereaved at the sad death of two daughters, she enjoyed family life centered upon the celebrations of Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter. She especially managed the famous family cottage at Cap des Caissie, where her spirit will certainly continue to inhabit. The family is particularly indebted to the staff of Unit 500 at Villa du Repos for the exceptional care afforded. Beyond that, the love and tenderness given goes beyond what can be repaid.
