On December 27th, 2010 our beloved Melissa passed away with her loving husband Jeff at her side. She was truly a remarkable Mother, Wife, Daughter, Sister, Niece, Cousin and Friend to so many.

She was predeceased by her father Richard Sutherland in 2005.

She is survived by her husband Jeff, her children Zac, Ella & Ty, her mother Maggie (Patrick) her sister Sabrina, her brother Dan (Dianne), her mother-in-law Joy & father-in-law Tom. She also leaves her aunts & uncles, Valerie (George), Joan (David), Jean (Bob) & Ann and many cousins, nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

Melissa was a truly courageous woman who fought cancer for over 12 years. She was loved by all who knew her and was truly a beautiful person inside and out.

Heartfelt thanks to the special friends in Calgary who opened their homes and their hearts to Melissa, Jeff and the children while Melissa went there to undergo treatment in December.

We're changed now.
Not because she left us,
but because she touched us.
She will be forever in our hearts.
