Surrounding by her family, Rosalie Caissie, 93, wife of the late Gérard Caissie passed away at the Villa du Repos, Friday, February 4, 2011 following a lengthy illness. She lived at the Villa but formely of High Street. Born January 27, 1918 in Ste-Anne-de-Kent, she was the daughter of the late Zoël and Suzanne (Bastarache) Bastarache. She is survived by her four children: Géralda Landry (Donald), Linda Melanson (Roger), and George Caissie (Huguette) all of Moncton, Bernard Caissie
(Diane) of Gatineau, QC; a daughter-in-law, Carmelle; sixteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Osias Bastarache (Mae) of Stratford, CT; two sisters: Emma McNeil and Bella Landry both of Bouctouche, many nieces, and nephews. Besides her husband, Rosalie is also predeceased by her daughter Bernice, a son, Raymond; two sisters and brothers: Eric, Eddie, Dora, and Marie.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. ONLY. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Christ-Roi R.C. Church, 300 Dominion Street, Moncton, on Tuesday, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
