It is with deep regret that family announce the passing of Dennis William Gustav White, age 71, on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 after a brief struggle with lung cancer. Dennis was predeceased by his father Meahan Joseph “Mac” White, mother May White, and brother-in-law Neil Davies. He is survived by his loving sister Hilda Davies; his four children and their families Darren (Joanne), their children Ashtyn, Madyson and Darren’s daughter Brianne; Kevin (Linda) their children Kayla and Stephen; Terry (Tracey) and Terry’s children Terry-Lynn and Contessa; Tracy (Guy) Waddington, their children Spencer and Eric; his two nieces Doris Waddell and Edna Newman. Dennis was born south of Minnedosa, Manitoba on August 29, 1938. He settled in Moose Jaw in 1961 where he remained for the rest of his life. He was employed with the City of Moose Jaw as a mechanic, where he worked until his retirement. His great joy in life was socializing with the many friends and acquaintances that he acquired over a lifetime. His wish during his final months was to spend time with family and friends in the fresh air as much as possible. We would like to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone who visited during this difficult time and made it possible to grant his wishes. Also, many thanks to Hari Sharma, Bill Harris, Bruce Thompson, the first floor staff at Moose Jaw Hospital, and staff at Extendicare who provided palliative care during his final week. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at W.J.Jones & Son Chapel on Tuesday July 28 at 10:00 am. At Dennis’s request his final resting place will be next to his family in Newdale, Manitoba where a private Graveside Service will be held. Memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society, Research, 61B Ross St.W., Moose Jaw, S6H 2M2, would be appreciated. In living memory of Dennis, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J.
