Mary Carmella Boutilier, age 87, of Mitchell Avenue, Dominion, NS passed away on Thursday, September 17th, 2009 at the Glace Bay Hospital.
Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Daniel A. and Christina (Cameron) McLean.
She was a member of St. James Church, Gardiner Mines. In her younger years Millie sang in Immaculate Conception Choir and belonged to the Children of Mary. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards, but mostly she will be remembered as a loving mother and caretaker with a great sense of humor.
Millie is survived by three daughters and one son: Pauline (Bert) Coffin, Gardiner Mines, Tena (Tom) Shea, Elaine Saccary, and Danny (Doris) all in Dominion. She is also survived by a sister, Sarah Charron of Ontario, and nine grandchildren, Camie Rouleau (Marc), Dennette Saccary (Chris), Francis Saccary (Melissa), Sheri Lynn Saccary (Colin), Lynette Saccary, Carey Ellsworth (Richie), Saundra Coffin (Erin), Bryan Boutilier (Candace), and Catherine White (Karl).
Millie also had eleven great-grandchildren: Rebecca MacKenzie, Brandon Rouleau, Riley White, Brynn White, Brayden Ellsworth, Payton Ellsworth, Carson Dean, Mitchell Dean, Kyle Dean, Cache Saccary, Easton Saccary. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Millie was predeceased by her husband, Weldon Boutilier; a sister, Mary Brodie; brother-in-law, John Brodie; brother, John Joe McLean (Edna); brother-in-law, George Charron and a sister Josephine McLean.
Vistitation will take place on Sunday from 2–4 p.m. and 7–9 p.m. in the V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. The funeral mass officiated by Rev. Andrew Gillies is Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. at St. James Church, Gardiner Mines. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery. Reception to follow in the church hall.
