It is with great sadness that the family is announcing the tragic and sudden passing of Kenny on Saturday, November 14th, 2009.
Kenny was born on March 12th, 1979 in Pictou. He was a fisherman and an avid outdoorsman. Kenny could usually be found on the trails around Pictou on his four wheeler with his son Braden close behind on his dirt bike.
Kenny is survived by his loving girlfriend, Amanda Cornett; his pride and joy, Braden, his “special girl” Bailey Little, and unborn son, Bricen. Also surviving are Kenny’s parents, Greg and JoAnne McNamara, Pictou; his brothers, Derrick (Susan), Winnipeg; Bryan, Pictou; Bradley, Edmonton. Kenny had two nephews, Cooper and Porter. Kenny will be missed by his grandparents, Frank and Jemima MacKay along with his many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Kenny was preceded by his grandparents, Joe and Ethel McNamara; his uncle, Francis McNamara; his cousin, Kenny McNamara; his good friends, Dave Kelly and Blake Cameron.
Kenny will always be remembered as a great father, a devoted boyfriend, and a compassionate brother and son. No words can describe the devastation felt by Kenny’s family and friends. He will always be in our hearts and he will never leave our thoughts.
Kenny will rest at the McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou, where visitation will take place from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. The funeral will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday from the Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Pictou.
Family flowers will be accepted and donations can be made to a trust fund that will be established at the Scotia Bank in the names of Kenny’s two sons, Braden and Bricen.
