HUME Gordon (Gordie) Gerald Hume passed away peacefully on March 5, 2007. Gordie enlisted in 1951 and served in Korea. He eventually made his home in Kamloops in 1967. For many years he drove taxi until becoming an employee of Canada Post. He was a huge sports fan, including playing and coaching. After retirement Gordie loved doing is his jig saw puzzles, gardening, home cooked meals, good conversation and watching his favourite Montreal Canadiens. He is survived by wife Phyllis, daughter Darlene (Kurt) and granddaughters Shaeley and Kassidy, and his brother Kenneth (Sue); extended family Carroll (Donna), Gerald (Gayle) and their children Kyle and Kimberley, Kevin (Teresa) and their son Adam, Stan (Jessica) and their son Kaden. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. in the Schoening Funeral Chapel with Canon Jack Phelps officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 201 - 635 Victoria Street, Kamloops, B.C. V2C 2B3 in memory of Gordie would be appreciated.
