ROBERT JOSEPH (BOB) LANDRY January 6, 1983 - March 6, 2007 With a life lived passionately, Bob leaves us memories of his laughter, love, and spirit. Born in Kamloops, Bob's travels took him to many places in BC and Alberta, but when he moved to Squamish he fell in love with the nature and spirit of living there. It was there that he further developed his passion for extreme rock climbing, mountain biking, and the outdoors. Whatever Bob did, he did with all of his talent and enthusiasm, whether at play or at work. His drive to learn led him to his chosen career goal of becoming an electrician, and he was well on his way to becoming a journeyman. Bob loved to laugh and to make us all laugh with him; he had an amazing sense of humour. He loved to cook, he loved animals, he loved his family, he loved music, he loved cars, and he loved to learn. He loved the thought that he was about to become an uncle. His journey has taken him in another direction now, but "Bob-dog" leaves a lifetime of happy memories with us. He has a piece of the hearts of his parents with him: Janet and Rick Hodgson of Kamloops and Ed and Darlene Landry of Prince George; as well as siblings Alia Landry, Tanner and Jenna Hodgson, Jennifer and Joseph Landry; uncles Mac and Roger and along with many more relatives, far too many to mention. He also had many, many other special family members and friends (Tyler, Neal and Marni to name but a few) who loved him and whom he loved. Bob had an unquenchable thirst to learn, much of it of an eclectic nature. We know he is studying new and wonderful things now (probably about physics and philosophy, knowing him). We say not, in grief, that he is no more, but live in thankfulness that he was. A celebration of Bob's life will take place at 2:00 pm on March 15, at Calvary Community Church, 1205 Rogers Way, Kamloops, BC. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate in Bob's name to the North Shore Search and Rescue. Service arrangements entrusted to Schoening Funeral Service. Telephone 374-1454.
