MacDONALD, Sarah Jane MacDonald - 93, The Mira Long Term Care Centre, Truro, formerly of Trenton, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, December 6, 2009, in the home. Born February 29, 1916, in Newfoundland, she was a daughter of the Jack and Emma (Kindle) Tutty. Sarah was a member of First United Church, Trenton. She enjoyed doing handiwork and made many beautiful things. She loved flower gardening, especially tending to her roses. Sarah is survived by her children, Edna Parker, Betty MacDonald, New Glasgow; Albert MacDonald, Halifax; Thomas Jr. (Joyce) MacDonald, Truro; Helen MacDonald, New Glasgow; Ralph MacDonald, Pictou; sister, Joan, Toronto; brother, William MacDonald; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Edward MacDonald, Sr; son, Everett MacDonald; step-son, Allister MacDonald; step-daughter, Almira Hill; sisters, Dolly, Joyce, Clara Johnstone; brothers, John, Leslie, Stanley. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where there will be a private family funeral service 10:30 am today, December 9, 2009.
