Peggy Lynn Josephson (nee King)
Born In: Canada
Passed in: Canada
JOSEPHSON It is with great sadness that the Josephson family announces the passing of Peggy Lynn Josephson at the young age of 49. Wife and best friend to Rick, the two shared 31 years together. She was the proud mother of Mike (Katie), Brian, Ken and Mallory, and grandmother to Oliver. She is survived by parents Bob and Elaine King of Kelowna, sisters Pauline Burnett of Courtenay and Shirley (Terry) Churksy of Kamloops, and brother Robert King of Kelowna. Family always came first for Peggy. She was always traveling to see each of the kids, wherever they were. And she was so proud of a new love in her life, her first grandson Oliver, who spurred her affectionate nickname of "Grandma Big-Hair". The ultimate hockey mom, Peggy spend countless winter hours cheering on her kids at hockey and figure skating. And her fondest summer memories were of time spent with a glass of good wine on the deck of the family cabin at Shuswap Lake. An extremely hard worker, she held a variety of positions over the years, including managing the Merritt Dental Clinic and her seniors' home "Peggy's Place" in Kelowna. Most recently, Peggy's new focus was general contracting and real estate projects in Kelowna and Medicine Hat. Everyone who knew her would agree that although she was petite in stature her personality filled a room. She lived in the moment and loved to laugh. She was the life of the party and it just won't be the same without her. Cheers. We love you. Peggy loved flowers, the more the better. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 23, 2007 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at the Crossroads Community Church, 2990 Voght Street, Merritt, B.C. with Pastor Clint Heigh officiating.
