DOROTHY ANDERSON Mrs. Dorothy Anderson passed away at Queen Victoria Hospital, Revelstoke on Sunday, September 28th, 2008 at the age of 95 years. A Memorial Reception will be held from the Glenfair Hall, 1100 Glenfair, Kamloops, on Saturday afternoon, October 4th, 2008 at 1:30 P.M. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the B.C. Children’s Hospital, 938 West 28th Avenue, Vancouver, BC, V5Z 4H4, in memory of Dorothy. Dorothy was born in Ryd, Sweden on July 7, 1913 and had been a resident of Revelstoke since May, 2008 coming from Kamloops where she lived for over 30 years. In Kamloops Dorothy lived at Glenfair where she was very active with the senior residents playing cards and baking. Dorothy enjoyed going to casinos to gamble and especially loved her trips to Reno. Dorothy is survived by four children: Marg (Allan) Kepler of Revelstoke, Charlie (Pat) Anderson of Revelstoke, Carol (Bob) Andersen of Kamloops and Glen (Linda) Anderson of North Delta; eleven grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; sister Vera Dunnington of Vancouver; brothers: Carl Oakland of Vernon and Leonard Oakland of Chase; numerous nieces and nephews as well as her good friend Gwen Allen who was always there for Dorothy.
