(1923-2010), retired CN worker and railway historian, passed away Saturday morning at his Chancellor Park residence. He is predeceased by his wife Camilla (Cooney), parents Nicholas and Bride (Fitzgerald) and brother Billy. Leaving to mourn are his sisters, Mary Brown and Helen Carter, and his brother, Nix (Madeline) as well as his many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his children: Michael, Brian, Marie, Robert, Jane and Tom, their spouses and his nine grandchildren. Brian’s family would like to thank the wonderful women who cared for Brian with tender care at Chancellor Park in the last months of his life. Special thanks to Brian’s U.S. cousin, Mary Wadden Russell, for her moral support in the final weeks, and to his faithful visitors: cousins Barbara Fitzgerald, Emmie Browne and Captain Joe Primm Sr. Thanks also to the residents at Chancellor Park who made him feel welcome, particularly William Summers, Joseph Gallivan and Stan Carew. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation will take place on Monday and Tuesday, February 8 and 9, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place from St. Pius X Church on Wednesday, February 10 at 9:30 am.
