The family of the late John F. Brennan who passed away December 12, 2009, wish to extend our sincere gratitude to all our family, friends and neighbors for the love, support and generosity shown to us during the loss of our husband, father, grandfather and brother. To the many people who attended the wake and funeral, those who traveled long distances to be with us, sent mass cards and flowers, made memorial donations in his memory, sent food to our home and the many people who phoned and shared memories of John, our heartfelt thank you. Thank you to Dr. Paul Hickey for the continued care given to John over the years; to the staff at Harbourview Hospital (DVA), the nurses on 4 west at the Northside General hospital; Knights of Columbus; Northside Golden K Kiwanis; to Rev. Jim Attwood for the beautiful mass and words of comfort; church funeral choir for providing the music and the selection of hymns significant to John and for John's requested hymn, Ave Maria; the St Joseph's CWL for hosting the welcomes luncheon. A special thank you to the readers, John's grandchildren Maria, Talia, Alana, Cameron and Elise, Grandpa would have been so proud; the pallbearers, John's children John Jr., Jeannie, Tom, Terry, Jimmy and Pat. A sincere thank you to Peter Walsh and staff at W.J. Dooley Funeral Home for your professionalism and compassion. A special place in our hearts to Elizabeth " Betty" MacDonald, Donnie and Carol Ann Power, Brian and Mildred Keeping . We will be forever grateful for your kindnesses.
