It is with tremendous sadness and heavy hearts the family of Karen Reid, aged 24 years, announce her sudden and unexpected passing on February 4th, 2010. Karen was a family centered, fun loving young lady who expressed kindness, love and compassion to all she knew. Karen was blessed with a nurturing family and a close circle of devoted friends. Karen will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. Leaving to mourn her loving parents: Robert and Janet (LeDrew) Reid; brothers: Robert Jr. (Rhonda), Philip (Marsha), and Colin; sisters: Jennifer (Paul), and Amanda (Jamus); nieces: Kasidi, Sarah, and Kiersten; nephews: Bradley, C.J., and Austin; cherished soul mate: Lee Cummings; grandparents: Dougal and Sarah; special friends Allison and Crystal; as well as a multitude of family members and friends. Resting at Pendergast’s Funeral Home, Bell Island on Sunday, February 7th, from 7-9 p.m. to Tuesday, February 9th, from 12-3 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, February 10th at 2 p.m. at St. Michael’s Parish. Interment to follow in the Anglican Cemetery. Flowers in Karen’s memory are gratefully accepted.their wings, and bring her home to heaven.
