William Norman Reynolds
(1920 - 2008) Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on March 28th, Norman Reynolds, formerly from Bell Island. A veteran of World War II with the Royal Navy and a member of Branch 56 of the Royal Canadian Legion. Predeceased by his loving wife Margaret, August 25, 1999. Also predeceased by his parents, brother Caleb, sisters: Susie Noftle and Mildred Osmond. Left with many cherished memories daughters: Edith (Bruce) Clarke of Logy Bay, Verna (Arthur) Penney of Paradise, Norma (David) Moores of Harbour Grace; seven grandchildren: Scott Clarke (Tanya), Laurel Clarke (Darryl), Paul Penney (Jackie), Douglas Penney, Janna Cleary (Neil), Carl Moores (Susan), Andrew Moores (Shelley); also eight great grandchildren: Kaleigh and Cassandra Clarke, Kayla and Julia Penney, Nolan and Ewan Cleary, Emma and Paige Moores, also leaving to mourn sisters: Minnie Delaney, Marjorie Reynolds, Stella (Cliff) Butt, Rosann (Eric) Slade and Nina (Harold) Butt; brothers: Thomas (Isabel) Reynolds, Clayton (Janet) Reynolds, Berkley Reynolds and one sister-in-law Elizabeth Reynolds; also many other relatives and friends; his caregivers at Elizabeth Towers, especially Petra Brown. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Sunday and Monday from 2 p.m.- 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.- 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from St. James United Church, Elizabeth Avenue. Interment to follow in the Field of Honour, Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Norman's memory may be made to the Parkinson Society Newfoundland & Labrador or to Daffodil Place.
