Lazarowich, Emily born May 11th, 1917, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on March 21st, 2008 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Predeceased by her beloved husband Michael, parents Dora and Thomas Kozak, son-in-law Alan Fyfe and all of her siblings Laura (Nick) Gabruck, Katherine (Harry) Kissel, John (Ann) Kozak, Mary (Roman) Chyz and Julia (Harry) Kinash. Emily is survived by her daughter Ruth Fyfe of Regina, Saskatchewan and grandchildren Karen (Wade) Luzny and Mykel (Tina) Fyfe and their children MacKenzie, Noah and Elijah. Daughter Sonia Gass of Toronto, Ontario and grandson Robb (Sonya) Gass of Houston, Texas and their children Sydney, Grace and Robbie as well as several nieces and nephews. Emily grew up in Alvina, Saskatchewan, married Michael in 1933. They farmed for several years in the Sokal district before moving to Prince Albert, Saskatchewan in 1949. For several years Emily managed Walk Away Shoes Store and later was employed with The Bay. Emily was an avid gardener, loved all plants, flowers and nature. She also loved to cook, she could always be found in the kitchen cooking our favourite dishes or some new recipe. Emily was a member of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church choir and the Ukrainian Womens' Association. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thank you to the staff at Mont St. Joseph for their care and compassion. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 1st, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. in the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 305-6th St. East, Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.
