CHANCE HARBOUR ROAD - Gordon Harvey "Gord" Holte, 54, of Chance Harbour Road, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 29, 2010 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Edmonton, Alta., he was the son of Warren Harvey Holte and Doreen Jeanette (Umpherville) Woollam, Edmonton. Gordon transferred to Pictou County three and a half years ago from Fort Nelson, B.C. to become District Manager of Nova Scotia Operations, Maritimes & Northeast Pipeline, Spectra Energy Corporation. He enjoyed playing golf, socializing, traveling and spending time with his canine companion, Jessie James.
Surviving besides his parents are his loving wife of 15 years, Arlynn Mae (Sailer); sisters; Lillian Sissons, Edmonton; Colleen (John) Madsen, Sherwood Park, Alta.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no visitation by request. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. today in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating.
Donations may be made in Gord's memory to the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit. www.pkmacdonald.ca
