Nora Irene MacDonald, 89, of Munro Avenue Ext., New Glasgow, passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2010 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Stellarton, she was a daughter of the late Ray and Evelyn Gillis.
Mrs. MacDonald was a member of the Anglican Church and was a resident of Valley View Villa for the past several months.
She will be sadly missed by her husband Harold; daughter Marcia Smith (Ed Osborne), Lower Sackville and son Brad (Millie), New Glasgow; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Mary Gillis; and brothers Raymond Gillis (Theresa), Stellarton and John Gillis (Lois), Plymouth.
She was predeceased by sisters Nancy Gillis and Betty Conn; and brothers George and William Gillis.
Visitations will be held on Monday from 10-10:45 a.m. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville where her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with Rev. Bill White officiating. Burial will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. No flowers by request. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one's choice. www.eaglesfuneralhome.ca
