Julia MacDonald
March 30, 1925 - July 15, 2010

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Julia MacDonald announces her passing on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center in Port aux Basques at the age of 85 years. Born at Cul de Sac West Julia was the daughter of late Richard and Sarah Parsons. She was also predeceased by her husband George in 1999 and daughter Norma. Brothers Arthur, William, Gordon, Harvey and sister Winnie Durnford. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her family: daughters Kathleen (Emmanuel) Baker Port aux Basques, Bernice (Clifford) LeRiche, Minnie MacDonald, Renee Godin all of Saint John NB. Sons; Walter (Carrie) Prince Edward Island, George (Winnie) Gander NL, Leroy Medicine Hat, Alta. 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, brother Henry (Winnie) Parsons Port aux Basques, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many friends especially her friends and the staff at Mountain Hope Manor. Visitation took place on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and on Saturday from 10 Am to 12 noon at East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services took place on Saturday July 17, 3 PM at St. James Anglican Church, Channel officiated by Rev. Hannah Dicks. Interment followed at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill.
