Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Friday, August 20, 2010, David S. Parsons of Freshwater, Carbonear, age 66 years. Predeceased by wife: Jean; parents: Shenstone and Margaret; brothers: Reginald Saunders and Bill Parsons. Left to mourn, two sons: Kent (Leah), Cambridge, ON and Craig (Krista), CBS; four grandchildren: Kyle, Kaitlin, Faith and Drew; special aunt: Mildred Sullivan, Springdale; four brothers: Eric (Yvonne) and John (Mary), both of Freshwater, Carbonear, Sidney (Joan), St. John's and Frank (Eloise), Carbonear; sisters-in-law: Elaine Saunders, St. John's and Nellie Parsons, Robert's Arm; also a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Funeral service took place on Monday, August 23 at the United Church, Freshwater, Carbonear. Interment took place in the United Cemetery, Freshwater, Carbonear.
