Peacefully and surrounded by his family at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, March 26, 2011 of Mr. Ernest John "Ernie" Devine of Charlottetown, age 76 years.
Beloved husband of Thelma (nee Malone) and dear father of Gary (Leanne), Shelley (Alan) Livingston, and Colleen (Kent) Dean. A wonderful Poppy to Erin, Sarah and Ellen. He is also lovingly remembered by his sisters, Geraldine McKenna, Rosella (Dave) Marascuillo; brother, Gerard (Jane); sisters-in-law, Freda and Eileen Devine; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents John T. and Lauretta (Pineau) Devine; his daughter, Darlene Marie; brothers, Merlin and Ebbie; sister, Leona Doyle; and brother-in-law, Carl McKenna.
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 10:15 on Wednesday morning, then transferred to St. Pius X Church, Charlottetown for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
