The death occurred at the Western Hospital, Alberton on Friday July 1, 2011 of Eileen Thibodeau of Tignish Senior Home and formerly of Miminegash aged 92 years. Wife of the late Fred Thibodeau. She was born in Miminegash, on Nov. 30, 1918, the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Doucette) Tremblay. She is survived by a brother Gerald (and the late Audrey) Tremblay, Miminegash, nephew Ronnie (Patsy) Tremblay, Miminegash and many other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Margaret, brothers Wilfred and Eddie, sisters Doris and Rita, brothers-in-law Jimmy MacNamara and Henry Bernard. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road for visiting hours Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral will be held Monday, July 4 at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road with funeral mass at 10:30 am. Interment in the church cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Tignish Legion Ladies Auxiliary will hold a remembrance service for Eileen, a life member, Sunday evening at the funeral home at 6:45 pm.
