Turner, Luther Charles – 84, Belmont, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2012 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. He was a son of the late Clifford and Florence (Rushton) Turner. He spent most of his life outdoors, working as a woodsman and as an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed fiddle music and his Sunday drives. Luther loved sharing his memories of the past with others. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Frances (Teed) Turner; sons Brian (Charmaine) Turner and Fred Turner, Belmont; daughters Debbie (Gordie) Alexander, Belmont; Florence (Bernie) Hinkley, Hamilton, Ont; two half-brothers and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Lloyd; an infant daughter, Dorothy; brother, Donald, and two half-sisters. As per Luther’s wishes, there will not be a funeral. A graveside service will be held at the Belmont Cemetery at a later date. Special thanks to Dr. Nadour and the nurses in the ICU of the Colchester Regional Hospital.
