Redden, Ellis William, 82, of Windsor Forks, Hants County, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, May 4, 2012 in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on March 6, 1930 in Windsor Forks, Hants County, he was the son of the late Fred and Margaret (Benedict) Redden. Ellis worked in Halifax before moving to Windsor Forks and worked in Windsor, where he became a well known Pharmacist. He was a member of St. Michael’s Anglican Church, Windsor Forks. Ellis was a member of the Nova Scotia Trappers Association, West Hants Wild life Federation and the West Hants Ground Search and Rescue. Surviving are his wife the former, Elva Saulnier; son, Quentin, Windsor Forks; daughter, Valarie (John) Arnold, Welsford, Kings County; grandsons, James Michael Perry, Alberta; Brenton Arnold, Steven Arnold, and Danny Arnold of Welford, Kings County; great-granddaughter, Lisa Marie Perry, Halifax; brother, Ralston, Spryfield; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by daughter, Carolyn Perry (2007); Sisters, Roselind, Stella, Jean, Nita, Anna, and Doris; brothers, Aubrey and Gerald “Buck”. Visitation was 7-9 p.m. Monday, May 7th, 2012 in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. Memorial service was held 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 8th, 2012 in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom Henderson officiating. Interment was in the Windsor Forks Community Cemetery. Donations in memory were requested to be made to St. Michaels Anglican Church, Windsor Forks Community Cemetery Association or the Hants Community Hospital.
