Owen Wilfred Davison - 64, of Kentville, formerly of New Minas, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2012 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Windsor, he was the son of James Davison, Kentville and the late Leta (Bezanson) Davison. He had been employed for 27 years in the feed mill of Co-op Atlantic, retiring due to illness. An avid snowmobiler, Owen was a member of the Annapolis Valley Lake and Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club. He also enjoyed 4-wheeling and camping, especially at Evangeline Beach. He is survived by two sons, James (Angela) Davison, Prince Edward Island; Steven (Lisa) Davison, Kentville; two step-sons, Wayne (Karen) Comeau, Black Rock; Steven (Vicki) Comeau, New Minas; four grandchildren, Colin, Chelsea, Cameron and Emma; five step-grandchildren, Michael, Colin, Ethan, Chad and Sabrina; a great grandson, Myles; two half-sisters, Brenda (Henry) Acker, Kentville; Mona (Asaph) Stevens, Kentville; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Rita Comeau. Cremation has taken place and there was no visitation, by request. The funeral service, followed by a reception, was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 2012 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Leo Fletcher officiating. Burial took place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, Kings County. Family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to The Lung Association.
