WILLIAMS, D. Roland, 68, Canada Hill, passed away in Roseway Hospital on Sunday, May 5, 2013. Born in Lockeport, he was a son of the late James and Mattie (Johnson) Williams. Roland was a kind gentle, hard-working man who loved children. He loved camping and deer hunting. He enjoyed lobster fishing and was especially fond of his farm animals. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, the former Nancy Acker; brothers, Roger (Judy); Calvin; sisters, Helen (Howard) Wood; Idella Salia. He was predeceased by brothers, Kenneth, Wallace, Leslie, Percy and Cecil; sisters, Viola and Mary. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 8 in H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Lockeport with Mr. Bill Stewart officiating. Burial in Williams Cemetery, West Green Harbour. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
