Passed peacefully away on Sunday, May 19, 2013. Helen Marie Spellman (nee Coady) aged 85 years. Predeceased by her parents: Thomas and Anne Coady; brothers: Ron, William, and Gerald, sisters Phyllis and Madeline. Leaving to mourn two daughters: Marilyn Coady and Cindy O’Leary (Mike); one granddaughter Jennifer O’Leary (Darryl); two great-granddaughters: Mackenzie and Hayley Reid; brothers: Thomas, Paul, and Eugene Coady; sisters: Carmel Fleming, Audrey Maher, Stella Kane, Marie Reel and Patsy Eagan; as well as a large circle of family and friends. At Helen’s request, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. from The Basilica of Saint John the Baptist. Inurnment to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations can be made to a charity of choice.
