The death occurred at the Maplewood Manor, Alberton, on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, of Noreen Perry, formerly of Skinners Pond, aged 78 years. Beloved wife of Edgar Perry, Tignish Senior Co-op Home. Noreen was born in Skinners Pond on Jan. 14, 1935, the daughter of the late Leo and Doris (Knox) Gallant. Dear mother to Audrey McDonald (Jeff), Calgary; Helen (Eric) Kennedy, Halifax; Jimmy (Karen) Perry, Peter Road; Judy (Jackie) Doucette, Harper Road; Donna (Darren) Marchand, Halifax; Lorraine Perry (Michael), Alberton; and Michael Perry (Diane), Waterford. Loving grandmother to 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brother John (Caroline) Gallant, Halifax; sisters Joan Harper (Gerry), USA; Pauline (Ken) Jones, Vancouver; and sisters-in-law Rita Perry and Marie Perry of Tignish. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road, for visiting hours Thursday 6-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish.
