The death occurred at the Western Hospital, Alberton, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, of Joanne Gallant of Miminegash aged 60 years. Beloved wife of Terry Gallant, Miminegash. Joanne was born in Alberton on May 24, 1952, daughter of the late John and Delia (Doucette) Perry. Cherished mother to Chad (Olive) Gallant, Bloomfield, Rodney (Raeanne) Gallant, Miminegash and Adam Gallant, Miminegash. Loving grandmother to Jackson Gallant, Tiffany Lewis, Riley and Ryder Gallant and Jasmine Arsenault. She is also survived by her sisters and brothers Joyce Strojny, Sudbury, Ont.; Leigh Chaisson, Pleasant View; Marlene Green, Pleasant View; Kenneth Chaisson, Summerside; and Mark Chaisson, Saint John, N.B.; and an aunt Lillian Allain, Pleasant View. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road. No visiting hours as a personal request. Funeral will be held Saturday, May 25, at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, where funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. by Rev. Jacques Rigaud. Memorial donations to the Liver & Kidney Foundation or IWK Children’s Hospital would be greatly appreciated. Interment in the parish cemetery.
