James “Jim” Harvey Davison, age 90, of St. Croix, Hants County, passed away Monday, June 3, 2013, in the Dartmouth General Hospital, Dartmouth. Born on November 4, 1922, in Port Williams, Kings County, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Wynn “Hardy” and Ruth (Davison) Davison, of Grand Pre`, Nova Scotia. Jim was an auto body mechanic for many years having owned his own shop for a number of those years. He is survived by his wife, the former Marion Alice McBay; daughters, Shirley (Ernie) Spence, Hartville, Hants County; Brenda MacLeod, Yellowknife, NT; Sally (Phil) McShane, Vancouver, BC; special daughter, Patricia Davison; son, Bruce (Bernadine) Davison, South Uniacke; 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by parents, Wynn and Ruth Davison; son, Robert Wayne Davison; grandson, Steven Andrew Baxter. Arrangements were under the care of Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor (902-798-2232). There was no visitation by request. A celebration of Jim’s life was 11 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2013, in the Ste. Croix United Church, St. Croix, Hants County. The Rev. Sally McShane officiated, followed by a reception in the Ste. Croix United Church Hall. Interment will be at a later date. Donations in memory of Jim were requested to be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Lung Association of Nova Scotia.
